Teams is becoming a part of our organizational culture

What is “Teams”?

Teams is a messaging app that allows real-time collaboration and communication between two or more staff, groups, and meetings. The app also allows file sharing and document collaboration.

Channels is a great feature of Microsoft Team. They are essentially a hub for group chat rooms. Using channels is one of the best ways to keep your documents and discussions organized.

Your co-workers are using Teams Channels to:

  • Create quick meetings
  • Have conversations
  • Work on files together
  • Manage subgroups
  • Collaborate on a specific project topics
  • Get updated in real-time

Blurring your background

Sometimes you may have confidential information on your walls, you may be on your commute, or you may be working from home or in a location with lots of visual distraction in the background. The background blur feature blurs the surroundings behind you while leaving you clear and un-blurred.

To activate Background Blur for yourself during meetings, click on the ellipsis “…” on the call menu and select “Blur my background”.
