What is “Teams”?

Teams is a messaging app that allows real-time collaboration and communication between two or more staff, groups, and meetings. The app also allows file sharing and document collaboration.

One of the best features of Microsoft Teams is chatting. You can chat with just one coworker, or you can chat with multiple people in one thread.

Your co-workers are using teams chat to:

  • Instantly share files
  • Make one-on-one calls to group members
  • Search previous messages and files in single location
  • See likes, @mentions, and replies with just a single tap

Teams Tip of the Day

Chat in Teams

From the Apps menu, select Teams then click Chat.

  1. From the Apps menu, select Teams then click Chat.
  2. Click the New Chat icon on the top menu bar or enter a name in the search field or select Recent Contacts.
  3. Type a new message.

Tip: Modify text, add attachment, insert emoji, gif, sticker, stream, or more apps by clicking on the icons.
