You can screen record using Microsoft Stream

Why would I use screen recording?

Screen recording is a very useful way to explain, review, and share information digitally. It allows you to record videos so that others can see the exact intent. It also has a microphone component to allow the recorder to explain each step.

Your co-workers are using this feature to:

  • Share pre-recorded presentations (allowing to move in and out of PowerPoint)
  • Share survey and instructions in one screen. Click here to see an example.
  • Record non-hosted virtual meetings (outside of Teams.)

What is Microsoft Stream?

Microsoft Stream is a website portal where people in your organization can post and view videos. It’s a streaming video service for your organization. Stream also makes it easy to share comments on a video, tag timecodes in comments and descriptions to refer to specific points in a video and discuss with co-workers.

Your co-workers are using this app to:

  • View recorded Teams Meetings
  • Share with a select group of people or more
  • Embed on your Teams SharePoint site
  • Send link via email
  • Index video
  • Keep your videos secure
  • Trim and start videos to share at a particular time

    • Option 3: Chrome Tab — This option allows you interact with a single open Chrome tab. Use this option when you have a single webpage to share.
